Practice Philosophy

Welcome and thank you for your time. While most dental websites list all the dental services provided and the professional organizations to which the doctor belongs, fewer seem to speak of practice philosophy and values.

At the center of any solo practice, there is a dentist. “What kind of an individual is this dentist?” a prospective patient may ponder. New patients use all their senses and keen intuition in assessing numerous verbal and non verbal clues in an attempt to reveal the character of the new health professional. The patient wonders quietly, “will he be caring, do a good job, tell me the truth,” as he or she seeks an answer to the central question, “Can I trust him?”

My practice philosophy is simply an extension of my lifetime of learning which has taught me the value of adhering to the noble principles of honesty, empathy, accountability, logic, reason, and fairness in the definition of oneself. What a person stands for, how they will decide and react to any circumstance, should not whimsically determined by the pressures of the moment but rather by drawing on a set of unchanging principles which are applied evenhandedly in all situations. This is my goal and that which I strive to apply in defining my character.

One of the most rewarding aspects of being a Dentist, is the opportunity to serve and help people. Taking the time to sincerely show an interest in another person’s life out of authentic sense of compassion, interest, and caring is mutually beneficial . Because a patient has placed their trust in the dentist, the health care professional, because of ethical principles and conscience, necessarily must be “true” to the patient and is compelled to give his best effort.

I take great pride in my work, and consistently strive to do excellent dentistry and am accountable for all the work performed in my office.
